Biblical Foundation
The Bible is the foundation for understanding all of the subjects critical to an excellent education for life and life-long learning. (II Timothy 3:16,17)
We believe and teach the following as a basis of a biblical worldview:
• The Bible is inerrant and God-inspired, the basis of all Truth and knowledge, the only authoritative Word of God, and the heart of our curriculum.
• Total depravity, human inability, and the need for the sovereign grace of God in giving life and light through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ are keys to understanding students. (Ephesians 2:4, I Corinthians 2:14)
• The purpose of education is to glorify God and to know Him. This means acquiring a love for the Lord that encompasses the heart, mind, and soul; being able to share the gospel with others; and equipping each person to serve Him effectively.
• This world was created in six days and has a God-ordained order; it did not evolve. Humans, as opposed to all other creatures, were uniquely and distinctly created to have a relationship with the Creator.
•
God is the center of history and He will determine its ultimate outcome. It is linear, not cyclical.
