"And we pray this
in order that you may live
a life worthy of the Lord
and may please Him
in every way:
bearing fruit in
every good work,
growing in the
knowledge of God."

Colossians 1:10

Leaving a Legacy

We provide regular opportunities for students to portray Christ by ministering to others in practical ways and to share the Gospel as God leads.

• Our desire is to lead students to develop a right relationship with God, resulting in respectful and loving concern for others.

• We provide opportunities for students to go into the world to serve as “salt and light.” Each secondary class regularly serves a particular organization in the community throughout the year.

• Students serve in their home church, here at school, and in the community. Students serve at Lakewood in various capacities from assisting teachers in classes to serving as clerical and administrative assistants.

• Elementary students serve through school performances, fulfilling responsibilities in the classroom, raising money for charities, giving money in chapel for missions, and are participants in service projects throughout the year as individuals or in teams.

• Our secondary students perform in the school’s praise band and lead worship during the grades 7 – 12 chapel time.
