Phil has been married to Shari for 14 years, and they currently live in Auburn. They have been blessed with 3 gorgeous daughters who melt their Daddy's heart and two handsome boys that light up his world!
Allison is 12 years old and going into the 6th grade, while Mattie and Jacob are turning 10 years old and looking forward to the 4th grade together. Molly enjoyed Mrs. Rose's PreK last year, but has graduated to Kindergarten as a big 5 1/2 year old. Reggie is the baby and turned three this past May.
When asked about the purpose of Christian education, Phil said, "I believe the primary purpose of the Christian school is to train, equip, and mobilize and inspire difference-makers for Jesus Christ. The Christian school needs to integrate the Bible (Christian teachings) into everything that is being taught (literacy, science, history, mathematics, etc.). For the public school, this differs because the Bible is not brought into the classroom and into the day-to-day lessons. The school teachings must be more than just knowledge because the Bible says that knowledge, by itself, simply puffs up and creates an arrogance (1 Corinthians 8:1). The ultimate purpose/mission of the Christian school is to send out leaders and servants for Christ’s Kingdom...young men and women who will boldly reach out to a lost world with the love of Jesus Christ."
Phil is in his second year as the Superintendent at Lakewood Park Christian School.

High School Principal
Mr. Mike Christner
I am the High School (9th – 12th grade) principal for Lakewood Park Christian School. I have lived in and around the Auburn area for the majority of my life. Upon graduation from DeKalb High School in 1994, I spent one year at Greenville College in Illinois. The following year, I transferred to Grace College and obtained a Bachelor of Science in General and Physical Science in 1998. The next year and a half were spent at IPFW taking my teaching licensure classes and doing my student teaching, which I completed just prior to the year 2000.
From 2000 – 2003, I taught 6th and 7th grade science at Central Noble Middle School. I really enjoyed the students and the school, but felt a leading to make a change. For the 2003 – 2004 school year, I agreed to take on a teaching position in science at Lakewood Park. Just before the year started, I was asked to handle the discipline for that school year. Over the course of the year, the job evolved into “Interim Principal.” Eventually, I interviewed for the full-time position with the Lakewood school board and was offered my a position as the 6th-12th grade Principal. This year I became the High School Principal.
I grew up in Auburn, IN in a Christian family. I wad saved at age 7, but truly committed my life to Christ in my sophomore year at Grace College. I have been the High School Principal at LPCS since 2003. I love spending time with my family and enjoy playing sports (mainly baseball and basketball). I met my wife, Terri, while we were at Grace College. We have one son, Mike JR, and one daughter, Avery

Executive Director of Operations
Mr. John DeLine
Through a sequence of events that only God could have orchestrated, I am now the new Elementary Principal of Lakewood Park Christian School. What a privilege to be involved here alongside each of you. God has given me a deep passion for Christian education…something you can never retire from…and it is my prayer that together, we can serve Him through modeling His message to each life that enters the doors of our school. I know that each parent, each staff member, each student is involved with Lakewood Park not by accident, but by Devine Appointment…God’s word tells us in Acts 17:26-28…
”From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the earth; and he determined the times and set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being…”
Trusting Him,
John DeLine

Athletic Director
Marc Davidson
My name is Marc Davidson, and this is my first year here at LPCS. I will be serving as Athletic Director, varsity boys basketball coach, and high school PE teacher. I've been involved in Christian education as a student, teacher, coach, athletic director, principal, and most everything in between for 25 years. I am a huge proponent of Christian education, as I have witnessed firsthand the ways in which God has used it in my life. I have a passion for teaching young people what it means to compete in athletics as a Christian, and it is my desire to see all of our student-athletes here at Lakewood Park compete in such a way that brings glory to God. Romans 12:1-2 tells us that we are to present our bodies to God as a living sacrifice, which is an act of worship. In maintaining this perspective, the athletic arena literally becomes an opportunity to worship.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education K-12 from Trinity Interntational University in Deerfield, IL. Prior to beginning my career in education, I spent 8 years living in France playing professional basketball.
My wife Lisa and I have been married for 16 years. God has blessed us with 5 sons: Wesley- freshman, Billy-8th grade, Frankie-5th grade, Marcus-3rd grade, and Jimmy-1st grade. We live in Leo, IN.
