Computer

HS Computer
Mrs. Tonya Summers
I graduated in 1982 from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In 1984, I completed an Associate Degree in Computer Technologies from Lima Technical College. I currently hold a temporary certification from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

I worked as a computer programmer analyst and trainer of new programming staff with Central Mutual Insurance Companies in Van Wert, Ohio for 11 ½ years (1984-1995). I volunteered at various pre-schools (1998-2002) and at LPCS (2003) helping in the computer area. I joined the staff at Lakewood Park in 2003 as a long-term substitute, in 2004 as a part-time teacher of high school computers, and then in 2005 as a full-time HS computer teacher. I also lead/mentor one of the Power Plus groups.

My family and I attend South Scipio United Brethren Church where I teach Junior Church, work with the Vacation Bible School program, serve as an AWANA leader. Our family enjoys going on bike rides, sporting activities and fishing.

I love being a part of the Lakewood staff because:
1. I can freely talk about how God continues to work in my life
2. I get to interact with students on a personal level through Power Plus.
3. I am utilizing my professional training and skills to impact students

  Elementary Computer
Mrs. Gina Branch

My career as a teacher began in 1990 at Lakewood when I taught computer classes once a week to first through sixth grade students. This part-time job became full time the next school year. To enhance my teaching skills, I added to my undergraduate B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Tulsa, by obtaining a Master of Arts in Education with a Specialization in Curriculum and Technology degree, from the University of Phoenix Online in December of 2003. I am currently five CEU’s away from a life-time ACSI Professional Teaching certificate in Computer Technology.

Teaching core fundamental computers and technology skills with a biblical foundation to Pre-K through eighth grade students is a privilege and an honor. I am excited about being apart of the mission of the educational technology department at Lakewood Park which is to train and teach students to efficiently and effectively use computers and computer technology as a tool in all walks of life (educational, personal, and work environment) from the perspective of a biblical worldview.
