HS Math
Mr. Andrew Baker
I began teaching at Lakewood in 1995. I graduated from Cedarville College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics, a minor in Bible, and a Secondary Education endorsement. I am also certified by ACSI and have my Indiana State Teachers license. I am a certified Drivers' Training instructor and teach/coordinate Lakewood Park’s summer driver’s ed program. I also coach the junior high boys' golf team, am the National Honor Society sponsor, and have the privilege of being the monitor for Saturday Detention.
My wife, Cathy, and I have a son, Timothy, who has brought much joy to our lives. I enjoy gardening, carpentry, fishing, golf, basketball officiating, and serving the Lord at Lakewood Park Christian School. I especially enjoy the relationships which have developed with students. It is a joy to challenge students not only in mathematics but also in their walk with God.

JH Math
Mrs. Chrissy Young I graduated from IPFW in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I have an Indiana State Teaching License for general elementary 1-8 and a language arts endorsement.
I taught for two years at an international Christian school in Brasilia, Brazil and then came to Lakewood in 2005 to teach math and coach 5th and 6th grade volleyball.
I attend Brookside Community Church and have served in several areas including Sunday school and the nursery.
I love being at Lakewood because all of the staff members are helpful and show God’s love to others. I really enjoy teaching math as it has always been one of my favorite subjects. In math, the problems have one true answer in much the same way as the Bible is full of absolute truth and Jesus is the only way to God. Math helps build critical thinking skills which aid us in solving problems in every day life. Another characteristic that is developed is perseverance. Math isn’t always easy, but I always encourage students to keep trying and never give up.
