Dr. Lynn Mafera
I received a B.S. in Science then went on to receive a D.V.M. degree from Purdue University in 1992. I worked several years as a veterinarian then became a stay-at-home mom with the birth of our two daughters. In 2005 I began to transition into teaching at Lakewood, and I love sharing with the students in the life sciences the study of God’s marvelous creation.
I am a sponsor for the LPCS Student Council, Co-sponsor with Mrs. Summers for the 2010 class, and work with Mrs. Lantz planning the annual Science Fair.
I’ve been married more than 20 years to my terrific husband, Tony, and we have two daughters at Lakewood. We attend church at Blackhawk Ministries in Fort Wayne and teach a pre-K Sunday school class. I enjoy hiking, biking and reading mysteries.
