Mrs. Deb Quackenbush
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Spanish and a minor in English from Miami University in Ohio. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University. I have my Indiana State teacher’s license and am certified by ACSI.
I started teaching at Lakewood Park Christian School in the 1995-1996 school years. I teach high school Spanish, levels one through four. I have taught previously in the Ft. Wayne Community Schools and at Blackhawk Christian School.
At Lakewood, we have had the opportunity to take some mission trips to Matamoros, Mexico during our J-term, (January-term). These trips have provided us with the opportunity to develop relationships with the Mexican people, to serve them, to share Christ with unbelievers, and to encourage believers.
My husband and I attend Wallen Baptist Church. We feel blessed to be in this church where the Bible is taught, where God is glorified, and where we can fellowship with other believers.
I like teaching at Lakewood Park Christian School for many reasons. Here at LPCS, we, as a team, offer excellence in education through a Christian worldview. We develop student leaders who know the Christian worldview and who “walk the walk.” We study God’s word in chapel, Bible class and other classes. Chapel provides an environment for worship, ministry, and fellowship. We emphasize to students the importance of a personal relationship with Christ and the importance of becoming a disciple of Christ. We help our students to respect God, those in authority, others, and themselves. We involve students in the Power Plus ministry and in other community services. We invite them to participate in mission trips when they are offered. We teach our students to serve others in love through Christ with a heart for those who do not know Christ.
