Golf Marathon Update:
By now everyone has probably gotten at least one, if not multiple green Golf Marathon sponsorship cards. This is the last fundraiser of this year and we believe that God will faithfully find a means to provide for this need. We are hoping that you will prayerfully consider being part of that answer to prayer by agreeing to sponsor a golfer. If you have not received a green card, but are willing to support a golfer, you may pick up a green sponsorship form in the school office. You may also email Colleen McCarthy at cmccarthy@lakewoodpark.org and she will help make that happen. Thank you in advance for your faithfulness.

File cabinets
The Fine Arts Department is in great need of several 4-drawer file cabinets to store music. If you would have an unused cabinet that you would be willing to donate to the music department, please contact Mr. Faur, Pastor Taylor or Mrs. Shirey.

Kleenex Needed
We are still in need of additional Kleenex. If you can help us by contributing more boxes, we would really appreciate it. You can send them with a student or drop them off at the front desk. Thank you.

Learning To Listen In Mrs. Moore’s Class
In our classroom, we have been learning about our five senses. This week we took a “sound walk” to learn more about our sense of hearing. We tiptoed quietly inside and outside of our school. As we walked, we listened to all of the sounds around us. We concluded our walk by the lake and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. Here are some of the sounds the students said they heard: a train whistle, people talking and laughing, the sound of the wind blowing through the trees, our feet walking through the leaves, an airplane, birds, and even the sound of our own breathing. We talked about what a blessing it is to have the sense of hearing, and how people who can’t hear may communicate through sign language. We also discussed how important it is to be good listeners, especially when it comes to hearing God’s Word and His will for our lives.
