Front Office Changes
Mrs. Sandy Casselman has greeted students, parents & visitors in our front office for some time now. We celebrate with her that she has found a new position that will better meet the needs of her and her family. It is our great fortune that we will still be able to see Sandy, as she will continue to cover the front office for us each Friday. In order to continue to have the front office staffed efficiently without hiring additional personnel, our current personnel will each take one day in the front office. Julie Hess will be covering Monday, Colleen McCarthy on Tuesday, Dru Collins on Wednesday, Jessica Davis on Thursday, and then Sandy on Friday. We feel that this is the best way to maintain efficiency and the best service possible to you, our customers.

We would also like to announce that we have promoted Colleen McCarthy to the position of Office Manager. She will oversee the day to day operations of the school office as well as the aides. Colleen’s desire and passion for customer service makes her a perfect candidate for this position. We expect that these changes will serve you and your students well and appreciate your support and patience as we adjust to the transitions that are being made.

Jogathon 2009
We are a week in to our 6th annual Jog-a-Thon fundraiser. Thank you for the diligence of your students in working hard to meet our goal for this event this year. As you looked through the incentive packet for elementary students, you may have noticed that it mentioned that students raising the top two highest dollar amounts in each class will get to have lunch with Mrs. Pearson. And then the top ten highest elementary students overall will get to go to Crazy Pins with Mrs. Pearson. These packets were obviously printed prior to us learning that Mrs. Pearson would not be with us for this event. Please reassure your students that those incentives are very much still in play. It will just not be Mrs. Pearson that they eat or bowl with, but more than likely Mr. Carman, Mr. Christner or Mr. Davis. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

Elementary Principal Position

We are now accepting applications for the position of elementary principal. A job description and application are available from Colleen McCarthy at ext. 219 or email to cmccarthy@lakewoodpark.org. The process for this position will be thorough to ensure an excellent fit for the person, the job and the organization. The search committee comprised of representatives from the administration, board, parents and teachers will review the applications and choose several for initial contact and interview by the administrators. The administrators will invite the best qualified of these candidates to interview with the search committee. The search committee will recommend the best qualified of these candidates for a final interview with the school board. Interviews will begin in September and the process will continue until a successful candidate fills the position. Please pray with us about the successful candidate for this position.
